Good Ground Church of Jesus Christ is an Affiliate/Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ the Lord, Inc. located in Bloomfield, New Jersey and led by Pastor Darrien and Lady Mahalia Reid.
HOW WE WERE BORN: As the Emmanuel Church of Jesus Christ implemented its Evangelism outreach in different parts of Jamaica, it was evident that the Gibbs Hill community in St. Mary did not have an Apostolic church and souls needed to be saved. In response to this need The Good Ground Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic was established on August 29, 2020. This ministry was led by Pastor Darrian Reid from the Emmanuel Apostolic in Belmont St. Andrew, along with Minister Narris Saddler and Elder Bentley King from the Wayside Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church, (now known as the Good Ground UPC). By January 2021, the membership grew to over 35 persons and was later joined by Pastor Steve Russell who provided oversight to the ministry.
With the leading of the Lord, the newest Good Ground Church was established in Bloomfield NJ, USA in October 2023 and officially dedicated in February 2025, under the oversight of Bishop G. Sampson-Lee, Church of Jesus Christ the Lord. It is such a blessing that the Good Ground Apostolic church is now established in two locations including Castleton St. Mary, Jamaica – led by Pastor King.
As a member of the body of Christ, the Good Ground Church will continue to pursue winning souls for the kingdom of God, preaching and teaching the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and upholding the Apostolic doctrine. We will continue to fight the good fight of faith until we finish our course and lay hold on eternal life. Please continue to cover us with your earnest prayers.
